One selected non-PVC roll
Waitrose record 480470-549873-549874 is one non-PVC cling-film roll labelled 40 m by 350 mm approximately. The inspected public price is£2.50. It is not the 75 m version or Bacofoil’s different film selection. The purchase unit in our ledger is one complete selected roll, not a fixed number of wraps or bags.
Calculate only the geometric area
Converting 350 mm to 0.35 m and multiplying by 40 m gives 14 square metres of declared nominal geometric film area. This says nothing about overlap, trim, adhesion, food portions or useful coverage in a real task. We have not unrolled or measured a received roll;the source itself describes approximate dimensions.
Keep thermal instructions product-specific
The selected page supplies specific microwave time/temperature conditions and restricts direct wrapping during microwave use. It also excludes conventional/combination ovens and microwave browning units. These conditions belong to this exact product record and current package;another brand’s PVC FAQ cannot override them.
Check current packaging
Check the actual received carton and its sharp cutting-edge warning before use. We show closed generic cartons without a cutting demonstration. If the current package wording differs, keep both versions and ask Waitrose rather than selecting the less restrictive one. Current received-label and independent food-contact/material review remain pending.
A purchase case to keep explicit
For a cupboard reorder, write 40 m and 350 mm beside the exact 480470 record. A 75 m film at the same width would be a separate purchase unit. Do not keep the 40 m price while using the larger roll’s area to make the rate look lower.
